Whats AIDS & HIV?


HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus .and is in short term,Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, the FINAL and MOST SEROUS stage of HIV. HIV takes up to 10years to develop into AIDS.



HIV = Human Immunodeficiency Virus
AIDS = Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome



HIV will be transmitted if you're having a unprotected sexual intercourse with an infected person,sharing HIV-tainted needles & etc., from mother to her baby; pregnant, breast feeding. and also recieving in infected blood( e.g. Organs, Plasma)

HIV WILL NOT BE SPREAD BY CASUAL CONTACT SUCH AS HUGGING ANG TOUCHING, INCLUDES ALSO, DISHES AND TOILET SEATS OR MOSQUITOES.

Be faithful with your parner and stay in a monogamous r/s . if you are unsure of your status/ your parnter, go for HIV screening together. Always practice safer sex by using condom consistently and correctly. NOTE!: condom dont give 100% protection from HIV .use it accordingly, follow instructions and ensure there is sufficient lubrucation to minimise the chance of condon tearing.




*condom measures
-never use expired condoms
-keep your condoms in a safe place( dont squash in your wallet for one night)
-pinch the resevoir tip when rolling the condom.
-dont tear the condom with your teeth or nails
-hold the base of the condom when withdrawing.
